Following on from our announcement a few weeks back that The Static Jacks would be touring Europe this month, they’ve added several new dates in both the UK and on the continent.
As before, the run includes three dates supporting The Wombats, which will make TSJ the first LFC Records band to play at the O2 Academy in Brixton, and now there are also shows supporting Band Of Skulls (at London’s XOYO), as well as fellow countrymen Grouplove (in Brighton) and Howler (in Paris).
The band are on the road to promote their debut full-length, “If You’re Young”, which is out through Fearless Records on 5 March. The double A-sided 7″ vinyl of “Into The Sun” / “Mercy, Hallelujah” (which we put out late last year) will be on sale on the tour, or you can pick one up before it all kicks off, from our shop.
Check out this video of the band finishing their set at Koko in November with “Into The Sun”:
Laissez Faire Club DJs will be hitting continental Europe this Saturday night! We’re spinning records at Paris’ wonderful Fleche d’Or venue, alongside We Are Scientists, The Boxer Rebellion and our own Ice Black Birds. We’ll be in charge of the wheels of steel before, in-between and after the bands, until 1.45am. We’re sure you’ll agree it’s one hell of a lineup. If you’re coming to the show, make sure you get down for 8.45pm, which is when IBB hit the stage to kick of proceedings.
This is what the venue had to say about us:
We couldn’t put in better ourselves. See you there?

Our beloved Ice Black Birds are set to hit the road this autumn, visiting everywhere from Bath to Utrecht to Paris, and are quite possibly playing at your local watering hole along the way.
Highlights include an appearance at Manchester’s In The City Festival (last.fm stage) on 13 October, a sold out Dutch tour supporting local heroes Go Back To The Zoo from 21 to 23 October and an opening slot for We Are Scientists and The Boxer Rebellion at Paris’ Fleche d’Or on Sat 13 November. The tour will (hopefully) come to a glorious climax on Friday 26 November in London town, where they’re set to play Club NME at Koko. For a full list of dates, click here.
The band will be travelling armed with copies of their last 7″ single (‘As Birds We’d Be Fine’) put out by Laissez Faire Club Records, so if you haven’t got one yet, they’ll be – subject to availability – available to buy at these shows. Alternatively, head over to our label page, and pick one up now. The LFC shop offers signed copies, and RecordDrop.com offers free MP3s of the tracks, plus an additional bonus track (‘Problems In Hand’).
At the risk of spoiling you even further, to help prick up your ears and hopefully prise you away from the latest episode of The Inbetweeners and down to your local venue, the band are offering fans a free download of ‘Pretty Ways’, a demo they recorded in their bedrooms over the summer. Grab it below.
