Laissez Faire Club officially began in November 2006, when it hosted a show by New York’s Five O’Clock Heroes at The Windmill venue in Brixton, London. Since the success of that evening, LFC has been tirelessly putting on the best new artists at esteemed venues all across the capital, and can lay claim to having hosted early appearances from The Wombats, Mumford And Sons, Golden Silvers, Post War Years, Micachu, Anna Calvi, We Have Band, Let’s Buy Happiness and Dog Is Dead amongst many others. There are always new shows in the pipeline, so do keep an eye on our events section to avoid missing out.
In the summer of 2010, LFC expanded into a fully fledged record label, which currently specialises in limited edition 7″ and digital releases. We’re currently working with some very exciting new talent in this capacity – see our full roster and release schedule here.
We DJ too, after a fashion, and are always more than happy to spin the best indie / electro / rock ‘n’ roll tracks at your party. Places we’ve played records at include numerous venues in London, Paris, New York and Austin for SXSW 2010. Go over to the contact section if you’d like to book us.
