LFC006: Israel Cannan – “Heart Of Mine”
September 6th, 2012 • News
It’s been a short while, but we’re finally ready to announce that the next release on Laissez Faire Club Records will be “Heart Of Mine”, the stunning and uplifting new single from one of Australia’s brightest new songwriting talents, Israel Cannan.
You might remember his wonderful, charisma filled set at The Enterprise back in June, where he opened up for Jake Mattison at the launch party for our last release, “Sorrow”. Since then, Israel has been making further waves in London, a place he’s made his home since moving from Australia at the end of last year.
Available on iTunes (and all other good digital retailers) from Monday 1 October, the release will be Israel’s first since his 2010 album, “Walk”, and also his debut single in the UK.
Of course, we’ll be throwing a big party to celebrate, and where better to do it than the old stomping ground of The Enterprise? We’re back there on Tuesday 25 September, folks, and support on the night comes from firm LFC favourite Jade Hopcroft, who’ll be warming us up with her haunting lyrical folk-pop, and Sophie Grant. Not at all one to be missed. And if that wasn’t enough, we’ve booked Israel to support his fellow countrymen Deep Sea Arcade at The Windmill in Brixton later on that week (Friday 28 September). Plenty to look forward to.
